Breaking News: The largest Oriental Show Theatre in Kansai, Japan, has been raided

Yesterday, Japan’s police raided the Oriental Show Theatre and arrested the theater’s management. Ten men and women were taken into custody, with nine already pleading guilty. According to police investigations, they are accused of violating Japan’s laws regarding the adult entertainment industry, specifically for public indecency.

The police seized the theater and arrested its operator. On the evening of the 19th, a total of 10 people were arrested for alleged public indecency, including the 66-year-old manager of the Oriental Show Theatre and staff members. The male manager is accused of colluding with others, forcing female dancers to remove their costumes on stage and violating the laws governing the adult entertainment industry, while also allowing customers to take photographs. The police are investigating further with information provided by local residents.

Personal Opinion: This is a significant blow to Japan’s art industry. Small dancers usually perform at multiple theaters, and the Oriental Show Theatre in Kansai was the largest in the region. This raid could result in Osaka losing the ability to enjoy such performances for the coming years.
